Over the last few months I’ve been taking the Brinkerhoff High Performance Learning Journeys certification and delighted to have now been assessed as an HPLJ Architect. It’s all about designing learning journeys that deliver performance and business outcomes (which as those who’ve worked with me know I am all about). Like our recent endorsement as a Training Partner of the Institute of Sales Management, this is another way in which the quality of our work has been independently assessed, this time against the pioneering Robert Brinkerhoff‘s model and by the team at Promote International.
What does it mean for you as a client?
It means that we have a validated and proven method for designing learning and training that delivers against business goals. We begin with the business outcomes as our goal and work back through the performance outcomes, behavioural changes – the application on the job – to the learning outcomes, content and delivery methods. Too often companies have implemented decent training only for it to fall short of delivering measurable outcomes. the HPLJ principles and methods clearly identify the barriers and how to pre-empt and overcome them.
The upshot? You get the business results you were investing in.
We’ll be writing about this in a future post. In the meantime, please contact us for more details.
